Mourinho: I’m a better coach at Utd

The Portuguese tactician won three Premier League titles and the FA Cup during two spells with the Blues while leading Real Madrid to the Copa Del Rey in 2011 and La Liga crown the following season.

Now at Old Trafford, Mourinho marked his first campaign with the Red Devils by leading them to the English League Cup and UEFA Europa League trophy last term, although the side fell flat in the top-flight title race after finishing in sixth.

However, with Manchester United currently joint top of the Premier League and top of their group in the UEFA Champions League, the former Porto FC and Inter Milan boss feels he has “matured” as a coach.

“I am a much better coach today, precisely because of the different control of my emotions, the way I deal with difficulties. I feel more mature,” he said.

Manchester United return to action after the international break with a mouth-watering Premier League encounter away to bitter rivals Liverpool on October 14 [13:30 kickoff].
