'Black Panther' Is Now the 10th Highest-Grossing Film in U.S. History

Since its release, Black Panther has rapidly eclipsed dozens of the industry's most successful films, and it looks like after three weeks it still isn’t slowing down. After only 17 days, Marvel’s latest superhero movie has become the 10th highest-grossing film of all time in North America, according to Variety.
The Ryan Coogler-directed hit brought in another $65.7 million in the U.S. during its third weekend, beating out Red Sparrow and Death Wish to maintain its No. 1 box office spot. Its third weekend was the third-highest domestic take of all time, following Star Wars: The Force Awakens at $90.2 million and Avatar at $68.5 million. Black Panther is now the second-highest grossing movie to come from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, behind The Avengers at 623.4 million, after passing up Avengers: The Age of Ultron ($459M) over the weekend
